Badge

Use

The badge is the primary visual element of the club. Use it in digital and print placements to unify the product with the Washington Spirit brand. The badge identifies us. Proximity to the badge implies an association with another entity.

It does not have to be big in a layout to do its job—it should be rendered large enough to be recognized. Display in full color and with the stardetto [championship star] whenever possible.

Regulation size is 2.75” h x 2.97” w.

Do’s and Don’ts

DO use the white stardetto version of the badge on all backgrounds except white (red stardetto).

DO include the white frame around the badge when rendered on dark backgrounds.

DO leave at least 10 pixels of padding around the badge.

DO use scalable file formats (pdf, eps, svg) whenever possible in layouts, to prevent blurring.

DO place the badge on backgrounds of dark blue or strong red whenever possible.

DO ensure that the lettering is visible when using inside a short vertical space.

DO place the badge on backgrounds that provide high contrast.

DO use the black & white badge when the final layout will be rendered in grayscale.

DO use the one-color heavy badge on special applications such as apparel and merchandise.

DO use the one-color light badge for broadcast bugs and other placements where transparency is required.
